Week 3 – 27/10/07

Away game to Flitwick Eagles

Being its our third game as Newport town U7's and still haven't won a game the teams spirit is still lively

And everyone is having fun.

10:30am – we kick off with our starting line up from back to front, Paul Guyers in goal, Connor Davies and

Kieren Herbert setting up a strong defence, Harry Mundye holding midfield and the fast Tyrese Ackah-Sanzah in attack.

Fantastic link play from kick off, Tyrese to Harry, tackled though, Eagles on attack with some very strong forwards, eagles shoot……………Goal…………1-0 eagles.

Straight back into game from kick off, Connor forward with the ball, side foots it to Kieren, Kieren up to Harry, Harry shoots………………Goal…………He equalises 1-1.

A real strong yet affective start from the boys, just what we needed.

Eagles on the attack but intercepted by Kieren, Kieren links with Tyrese, Tyrese to Harry, Harry to Connor, Connor shoots…………Great save by the Eagle's keeper.

Eagles on the attack stepping up and passes through to there big forward…………….Great Save by Paul.

End of quarter.

Second quarter.

Not so brilliant start as Eagles Fire Ahead and score from kick off……….2-1………Patrick Bull on for Connor and Liam Cunningham on for Kieren. As soon as there on they do not hang around Liam and Patrick link to play Harry on, turns nicely past defender to pass to Patrick, Patrick shoots………….and just misses the post. Eagles on attack good passing, shoots at distance………….Again wonderful save by Paul Guyers.

Paul kicks out, not to far as the Eagles pick it up and shoot very hard……………Goal………….3-1.

End of quarter.

Third Quarter.

Team change in third with Sid Mancer and Connor come on, again Eagles strongly forward but only to be stopped with some fantastic defending by Sid.

Big kick out by Paul, good link play by all Newport players towards goal, intercepted by Eagles goal keeper, keeper hits it long…………….oh it's a brilliant goal by the keeper……..4-1.

Our kick off, intercepted straight away, Eagles shoot…………But Sid is there again to clear, then shot by Eagles again………..Goal…………5-1.

End of quarter

Fourth and final 10minutes .

Andrew Brown on with Kieren on to, Eagles kick off with some good passing to there wing players, big shot on goal by Eagles………….Goal……….6-1.

Considering the goal tally that's upon us we are still holding our heads up high as a team, we move forward with some great moves by Tyrese and Harry, Harry shoots……….Hits the upright……...Eagles stride up the field with a pass into space, Andrew kicks it into touch.

Now were little tiered Eagles see the opening in the last 5mins, we make another 2 subs to make up for tiered legs that have worked hard, Eagles score three within 4minutes………..9-1

End of game.

As only our third ever game as a team, we played yet again exceptionally well. We will get there!
